Anygoods, hi again. Been a hot minute. let’s just get all the weeks stuff out the way and see what ramblings come up after that fact.

The day after I posted last weeks post, a friend came over and we spent the next couple of days doing cool stuff, like walking, and talking, and playing board games and card games, and of course more walking (unironically my personal favorite :D). Went back to a fancy ass park near said friends house and had a good time, tried out jeddah buses which helped us get to places cheap (and was always damn near empty which was a BIG plus), got to see the islamic arts biennale which was AWESOME. Thing is, we waited WAY too long to go, and so by the time we were there we only got to see a couple of places before it closed for the night. It was still pretty cool, and in terms of scope and budget beats imagine monet OUT OF THE WATER, but imagine monet is still my favorite tho :). Here’s some of it.

The cermaic tile is my personal favorite, its simple but comforting. Which is the point, it attempts to describe how it feels to have the prophet mohammed (peace be upon him) around. At least, thats what I remember they wrote the piece was about, and thats certainly what I got from it. And it sets that tone perfectly, while just being a really pleasant looking piece of art :p.

This was the second last day id spend in jeddah, wednesday, so we slept right after getting home from this and got a drink at haifaa mall with yet ANOTHER third friend, and played spades. Eventually, the day ended, and I stayed up till it was time for the flight.

Na im just messing with you, thats how THEY see it >:D. Let me explain, partially.

I bought some stuff while we were out. I made up some dumb excuse for it, which everyone believed because im just that sneaky. After we were done playing cards tho, we got back home and everyone started saying their goodbyes, including that friend that was staying over at the host’s house for my sake. While he was heading out to take a car tho, I excused myself too and let the host know id be going out for a walk. IT. WAS. PERFECT. Nobody suspected A THING. I taxi’d near my usual spot, walked over, did my thing and came back after spending some time there. it was nice, and dead silent, which it ought to be.

I happen to have a specific playlist for the mood too (privatized on spotify rn dont bother looking for it). Though, I mention this because something pleasantly surprising happened while I was listening. The playlist finished, and the song that played after was lovely. I dont even mean just sound wise, or lyric wise, but

actually, yea both of them thats exactly what I mean :p.

I LOVE IT. Its galdive’s bloom btw (its on my insta profile rn go listen to sum(or the whole thing)), which reminded me way too much of lotus (a song on the playlist), until I realized it was from the same artist :D. Given ive been listening to loths for YEARS, its both in hindsight totally obvious it’d happen but couldnt have been timed better, that night was blissful. Goes without saying but im listening to her a lot now, its not a one done song anymore :).

Now, the big questions I hope to have built up in your mind would obviously be “what did he buy, where did he go and what did he do?” Well, dear reader, im sorry to say this is I cut the cord

Look, as much as id love to, this is genuinely just something I CANNOT write about, not now at least, I dont doubt ill write about it sometime later tho. This is as much as you get, enough for it to percolate in your mind, but never get a full picture of things. Truly, a devious maneuver >:), good luck guessing, not even the most BRILLIANT and WELL VERSED IN MY LIKENESS among you will ever know.

Now, let’s actually wrap things up for the week. The flight was extraordinarily ordinary, nothing much to say, and I made it back home and went out with my family the next day. We plan on hanging out a lot more till I leave, if thats not obvious already.

So, whats going on now :0?

Well, I spent my eid money, like a lot of it. NOT ALL IN ONE PLACE OK, just most of it in 2 places. In one got a new tablet :D. Of course I didnt buy it in full, its in installments, and I spent A WHILE researching for it, we’re talking since I was in leeds, but I never planned on it since I thought itd be more useful to get a keyboard (digital piano) instead. Even if I do really dislike the remarkable 2, I still planned to make due with it.

But then eid money came in, and I could actually afford it :). I got the tab S9 if your wondering, wanted to do an S9+ but it just isnt in my budget. It actually arrived just a couple of hours ago! Im excited to try it out after this post, I already know itll be such a relief for drawing and note taking compared to the remarkable 2.

If your wondering though, Yes I did consider getting an Ipad. I really did. But several problems come up. 1, and the most important, is I fucking hate apple. A lot. I know samsung arent saints either im more than aware, but in this case the devil you do know is better than the devil thats worse. Im already used to samsung, and honest to god LOATHE apple. Their software, extremely dumbed down and limited, their ecosystem, making sure its AS FRUSTRATING AS POSSIBLE to do something outside of using only apple devices, I mean FUCK YOU. IMAGINE if all the innovation they lock behind their ecosystem, the effort they put to incentivize using ONLY their products, was put to better use? Its not like they need more money, THEYRE NEAR 3 TRILLION IN MARKET CAP. But nooooooooooo, they just HAVE to continue to make things worse for consumers. The stupid fight to stay off of type-c, their closed down market and continued success at monopolizing it and stopping legislators from doing anything about it, their fight against right to repair, not to mention them currently backing up google against a DESERVED charges for monopolizing the search engine market and shitifying it to kingdom come, I hate them. And as much as samsung and google can kiss my ass too, I can at least take steps to ensure im ass far away from them as possible on EVEN my samsung phone, to a certain point. Not with apple though.

Anywho, the prices for samsung are much more affordable, and the pen ACTUALLY COMES WITH THE TABLET (apple has never heard of the concept of “not overpricing their for pens and selling them separately”) :000000??????????

Yea, so no apple. I did look towards other tablets from differing companies like huwauei, lenovo and the like, but honestly samsung is the only other option that can stand toe to toe with the ipad, as much as I hate to have to say that, so thats another factor as to why it had to be samsung. And now, here we are.

O, and since I mentioned it earlier, yea im not taking the keyboard thats in jeddah to riyadh, which I CALLED IT, HELL YEA, TOLD YOU SO. Talked it over with my family and to nobody’s suprise, my dad just told me to wait while I was in leeds in the hopes id ditch wanting one. Since I forced them to look into it tho, they came to the conclusion im better off using the money I was ALREADY SAVING to buy it in leeds.

As for the second place I spent my money (I promise this is relevant) I spent it on some merch, and my first ever sheet music :). I dont actually know how to play it now, but trust me when I say I WILL. You’ll see what I mean when it arrives, its got some very important songs that ill inevitably end up learning to play on my way to playing with the insturnment. Ill keep the rest of the merch and where its from a secret for now though, but trust me unlike the last secret you know when you’ll know the secret will unfold, that being after it arrives.

About 10 minutes till I gotta post, huh. What else to say? Im not sure, im quite satisfied right now honestly.

OOOOOOOO THERE IS ONE THING. I saw the stats on my last post, and someone ACTUALLY CLICKED THE ENA TRAILER, HOLY SHIT. THANK YOU, THANK YOUUUUUUUU <3, you dont know how happy that makes me. even if that person NEVER touches ENA, either online episodes or game, its actually so cool that someone was convinced enough to at least click the trailer.

To be clear, I sent CHAPTER 1’S TRAILER, which isnt even the best trailer (yes theres a better one and I love it). Its an older trailer but god is it SO GOOD, ive been obsessed with it for as long as ive known about ENA, no joke. Its such a mesmerizing piece of audio-visual mish mashing I FUCKING LOVE IT OK >:/.

With ENA too, I cant help but think about how much me finding the series lead my music taste, I mean I found TWO of my favorite artists from her. Found femtanyl from an ULTRAKILL related vid (https://youtu.be/3HE0y-kzJAQ?si=4WlTHbRqKV1rCBKb yes this is unironically how I was introduced to femtanyl) but both metaroom and oliver buckland from ENA. Both are so fucking cool, I will still never stop loving blasting laufey while playing ultrakill btw. Its the most feverish duality and I love it.
