Hi again.
Sorry this is a tad late, I got sick yesterday, I think? I’m not sure.
It’s that urge to vomit that lingers in your esophagus, and I can’t tell if I’m actually sick or it’s a mental thing, you know?
But also, it did happen while I was eating and on call, nothing special happened, so yea I’m probably just a bit ill. For that reason I took yesterday off, but I’m feeling better now so might as well write while I can.
It’s been another slow week, which I love to see, but there were some fun things that I happened to do. Most of which including games.
For one, I beat fnaf 4, you know, the fucking scariest game in the series.

Lovely :D!
As a quick refresher, all you need to know is that the mainline fnaf games, fnaf’s 1 until pizzeria simulator, have you play as a character trying to survive the night from 12 AM to 6 AM, fending off animatronics which get harder each night, with you typically having to survive five nights to get the ending.
There’s always more than 5 nights though, typically a 6th which is just a juiced up 5th night, and a custom night which you use to make all the animatronics even harder (except for fnaf 4, which has playable challenges after night 6).
For now i’ll be talking about one and four, which mainly feature bonnie and chica, who try to kill you from the left and right sides of your room respectively, and foxy and freddy, who have unique mechanics for both games.
O also, fnaf 4 has an extra animatronic that’s just a harder version of the main four in one massive hunk of junk.
That’s essentially all you’ll need to know to understand things from here on out. Though you may be asking “why not play the games in the order they came out in?”.
Well, every other game in the series runs like Tar on the macbook except fnaf 4. This means fnaf 1 also runs like trash, but I still managed to beat up to night 6 (n_n).
Definitely can’t do the max difficulty custom night given the circumstance though (;-_-), the stuttering of the game, and all the other games for that matter, just won’t allow for it.
That doesnt apply to fnaf 4, for some reason, I assume because of its engine. So as of late I’ve been playing it on and off and streaming it on call for friends to watch me suffer in agony to all the nightmare animatronics.
And this week, I finally beat it!
… well, most of it.
yea, I haven’t done night 6 yet, which also means I haven’t even gotten through the worst of it. My goodness is it terrifying as is though.
To start, I had no problems with nights 1, 2, 4 and 5, IN FACT for nightmare fredbear on night 5 I was able to beat him FIRST TRY with the help from winning plushtrap’s minigame before the nightm which saved me 2 hours.
Still though, impressive right?
nights 1 to 4 are the main cast, nightmare’s freddy foxy bonnie and chica, but the difficulty was spaced out quite oddly. The reason I single out night 3 as the hardest is because it was where foxy was made to be the hardest.
Thing is for fnaf 1, two of the nights that follow one another, I believe 3 & 4, the difficulty of bonnie is made harder than chica, then bonnie’s is toned down the next night and chica is made to be the more difficult character.
Dont remember whos night was whose but you get the idea, give an animatronic its time to shine depending on the night, and I can only imagine since foxy isnt in night 1 and hardly in night 2 of fnaf 4, scott decided night 3 would be his time to shine, whereas 4 would be a balanced difficulty of all of them, and night 5 would be nightmare fredbear.
Similar to fnaf 1, that should work right?
RIGHT????
Thing is, this TOTALLY GUNKS the difficulty curve of night 3 even compared to the, on paper, ‘harder’ night 4. Bonnie and chica in fnaf 1 having their own nights work because THEY work differently to foxy. In both games, they’re the door animatronics getting to you from the left and right hand sides, and foxy is a wrench in the works.
Make the left or right hand doors harder to manage? Sure.
MAKE THE WRENCH HARDER???? ITS A DIFFERENT STORY >:/.
Foxy works differently in both games, but the point still stands, probably stands even firmer than it normally would actually, since foxy in fnaf 4 is much harder to deal with compared to his fnaf 1 counterpart.
Foxy in the first game is simple, open the cameras every few seconds to stall him, and thats all it really takes to have him dealt with. OCCASIONALLY you’ll forget to do this, to which you can just close the left door and check a certain camera within 45 seconds of foxy coming to get you, which itself will only ever happen if you forget to open cams (ANY CAM, not just the one he’s on) and he’ll hit the door, draining power, and return to pirate’s cove.
Then just remember to check cams and hope he didnt drain enough to kill that night, easy.
Its a fun wrench that throws you off your loop when you first encounter him, stopping you from camping the room your in without opening cameras to check on him and the others, but is nothing in comparison to his counterpart.
In fnaf 4, he goes to either side of the house, the left with bonnie or on the right with chica, and he’ll scurry between each side, eventually trying to enter from one of them. If you check that door and flash him, he’ll go back, repeating the process, but if your at the other door when he rushes, he enters the closet.
He’ll then basically act like freddy in the game, go to the closet and close it to revert his progress and turn him into a plushy. Let him progress far enough without doing this, he kills your ass.
This RUINS nights if you get him early, or even in the MIDDLE of the night. Prior to him entering your room, all you have to do is check both doors in your room to either flash bonnie or chica away, or close the door on them if you hear them by the door, then flash the bed to undo freddies progress.
But foxy not only breaks this loop, he makes it nigh impossible to survive for more than 3 hours. Once he’s in, youve gotta go to the closet, then bed, then left door, then right door, often while the room is flickering meaning SOMETHING is going to kill you and you DONT KNOW WHAT.
Not to mention bonnie and chica will TELEPORT once in the night to their respective doors, which of course would usually happen to me AFTER foxy was in, so once theyre at the door you have to close it, wasting time, and….
Yea youre dead.
Regardless of how often bonnie and chica showed up to their doors even on night 4, I could always deal with them knowing all id have to check afterwards is freddy, but if your on the freddy foxy loop your game is over past the third hour, you just cant deal with all four animatronics at once without ONE of them killing you.
Needless to say, I died A LOT in night 3, then only like twice in night 4, it was very silly :p.
(side note but getting jumpscared, especially by bonnie or chica after listening for their breathing at the door, genuinely gives me psychic damage. After a failed night I genuinely have to relax for a couple of minutes, these freaks genuinely overwhelm the hell out of my senses and its admittedly really fun)
As for night 6, I’ve been making progress, but I haven’t made it to 6 AM just yet. Important to note though, I believe its the main 4 animatronics for the first four hours, then fredbear on the last two, I dont quite remember to be honest given that Ive only made it to 3 AM so far and not 4 but I somewhat remember that being the case from when I used to watch fnaf 4 playthroughs.
Could be a different time though, or maybe not at all, DONT QUOTE ME ON THIS.
If I AM right though, having made it to 3 AM is pretty good given once it hits 4 I don’t have to worry about the freddy foxy combo, even if foxy gets in. It pretty much makes the night easier that Nightmare fredbear takes over the night past that point, since your bound to die EVENTUALLY once foxy’s in, and nightmare fredbear does you the service of getting rid of his ass.
I’ll be beating it in no time >:). Just dont ask me about the extras anytime soon, those are gonna be hell I’m sure ;’I.
Also, can we just talk about how creepy these animatronics are? I mean DAMN.
I know fnaf 1 is unsettling and all, especially on my first ever playthrough a year or two ago, it was scary as shit, but the fear factor doesnt last as long you know?
THIS though??? WTF.
It’s not even comparable to fnaf 1, let alone ANY of the mainline games, and it’s awesome. All of the designs are AWESOME, and more than that, are downright haunting to deal with.
The dread of fending them off, compared to any other game, feels so unbelievably visceral that im practically spazzing out while playing half the time.
Remember night 5, nightmare fredbear, first try? I mentioned that I only had to survive from 2 AM instead of 6 AM, but did I mention the anxiety? The adrenaline?
Honestly, I was both focused, with my eyes glued no more than an inch from the screen, and suffocating from my own fear, it was insane.
The moment I remember most viscerally was when it entered the closet, and you have to go and flash it for a few seconds to go away. Nightmare fredbear goes to either the bed or the closet when he laughs, and since I checked the bed I KNEW he was in the closet.
So I flashed it, but even knowing it had to be there, I jumped, and took my hand off the keyboard for a split moment. seeing it, as well as hearing the beep, that ear grating beep, genuinely sent my soul otu of my body for a split second. Then I just kept going :’).
Despite that, actually probably BECAUSE of that, it was really fun. I mean, REALLY fun. I cant remember the last time I was as tense as that, but the feeling was as invigorating after the fact as it was dreadful while playing.
Bottom line? I wouldnt call myself a horror fan, not even close, but this series is awesome. I love fnaf, loved it since its inception, and all the indie horror games that have come out since fnaf. Not just games inspired by it’s aesthetic, but other games too, like baldi’s basics, spooky’s jumpscare mansion, tattletail, and the like.
Theyre all games that’ve been fun to watch as a kid, but I never had it in me to play, and now I do :0. Maybe after fnaf, Ill play them too?
Idk, its to be seen.
Away from horror though, I also finished rhythm heaven megamix this week. Its a 3DS title from the rhythm heaven series where you play a BUNCH of rhythm games, sometimes back to back, and try to match the beat.
Havent unlocked all the shop minigames yet, just double date, but it’s been really fun as is. The main story is out of the way so now im left with the daunting task of unlocking them all, and maybe even getting a perfect on each one too. Wish me luck with that, ill need it :p.
(FYI my favorite rhythm game at the moment is ringside, the wrestler is adorable <3, and the music and sound cues blend so well together. The music on it’s own is just awesome too)

Lastly, I’ve been enjoying disco elysium quite a lot as of late too. So far I havent solved the case yet, but I’ve managed to meet all the major parties involved (I think?).
The game centers around you, a drunk detective with amnesia, and your assistant kim, both of you from different districts of the police trying to uncover a murder due to local strife.
Seems simple, but the thread goes deep. There are major players involved, whether it be the union, the workers on strike, the global powers responsible for negotiating with said union, or the people just trying to live their lives, there’s a lot of shit to do, people to investigate.
Also, most of them HATE your guts. Apparently before you lost your memories you were a total ass, and most of the citizens look down on cops as pigs anyways.
Despite that, through your interaction with each of the people present you get to learn about their positions, not just where they stand but how they operate, their modis operandi (I.E, their political position).
There’s this libertarian who’s come to the city as the negotiator, I personally hate her takes but she’s someone who’s amicable with the police and helps out a lot. There’s the workers on strike, who union workers see as ‘scabs’, which some people leeching off of their positions and stealing jobs and money.
And yea, there’s a lot of racists. Specifically 2 that come to mind, one that blocks the button for the door to the union leader, and one that’s just a cab driver who harasses kim.
Both of which you get to fuck with >:).
You can blackmail the cab driver and scare him shitless, and tell him to fuck himself, which is honestly tame but at least something.
the button dude though? SPINKICK HIS ASS.

This shits way too stupid for its own good and its awesome X).
The whole game toys with your decisions and the way you navigate scenarios, with you being able to choose different sets of intelligence, physical strength and motor skill attributes to focus on before a playthrough, and you getting to choose what to upgrade within the playthrough, Both of which can lead to different actions, better chances for certain actions, or different dialogue.
It’s all really cool, and it’s a rich world worth exploring.
Thing is, do I understand most of it? FUUUUCK NO, I hardly understand anything at the moment, or what any of this means, I honestly see myself playing the game 2 or 3 more times after this run to get what the hell any of this means, though it’s too early to say.
For now, just know that it’s a brainy ass game, and it’s probably going to wreck me with whatever ending it has in store, which I love <3. Can’t wait to finish it.
And yea, that’s about all the games my attention’s been on this week. Pretty cool honestly.
This week’s going to be very different given I have my theoretical mathematics exam coming soon though, so I’ll probably have to tone it down.
I’ve already started working on it, but it’s pretty difficult, so expect me to be locked in on it. Ill give you a heads up with a buffer post this saturday, a nice and easy yes or no (Y/N) the day of, we’ll see when the week rolls to a close.
For now, I hope you enjoyed me ramble on about these games. If you liked the sound of any of them, check them out! I’m sure they’ll be worth your time.
To send you off, here’s a fnaf animation. Riko makes really fun stuff, so even outside this one theyre worth checking out <3.

Enjoy. Anyways, that’s all. Bye now :).
