How the hell is it sunday, I dont even know. Im serious, its been a while since this has happened but I genuinely forgot today was post day, things have been exhausting and it almost didnt cross my mind :0.
Thats an overexaggeration, I had it in mind since this morning BUT THATS TOO CLOSE TO WHEN IM SUPPOSED TO POST, I USUALLY SIT ON THIS A WHILE YOU KNOW?
So, hope youve all been doing well :). Other than the sea of studying everyone in the centre is being suffocated by, im actually in a solid mood. Just, again, a lot of exhaustion.
Since the start of the week, we’ve had a couple of things in mind.
The english coursework 2, a powerpoint alongside a presentation we need to prepare, has been the main focus in each english class. Courework 3, the 1500 word essay itll be loosely based off of, is something we’ve gotta continue doing this starting tomorrow but hopefully wont be too much if a burden of spaced out right.
The project skills project tho, MY GOD what a pain. Its 3 simulations and a powerpoint of it all alongside a video breaking everything down, which wouldnt be so bad if not for the fact that its done in groups.
The work is being divided so weirdly by our group leader (though props to him for taking that role so im grateful even given the circumstances), at least one of the students in our group were using AI write it (we went and fixed that so its not the case now but its an annoying hurdle), and I specifically got given the task to write about the results of the simulation, which would be fine if it werent for the fact that I dont have access to the simulation, since ANSYS doesnt work on mac.
Basically, I went off as much as I could gleam from the videos included by everyone else in the presentation, which while I guess was doable, was a pain. Whats done is done though, and by next week we should have finished the powerpoint completely, and be ready to record things.
Besides, after me gritting through that (even if it wasnt ideal) im starting to realize it probably better than having to setup windows on the macbook. To be frank, ive been down that road and it was never fun, messing around with linux on mac is much more rewarding. Id just rather not bother with windows on mac rn.
Anywho, the MATH project just started, and studying for the math and physics finals are everything else thats left and need attention. Those will probably take up more time than anything else once everything is said and done, but right now theres not much to say about them. Just been gathering info about them all, will probably start studying sometime this week.
So, how about a little music to lighten the mood? Well, not LITERALLY me playing music-okay maybe that phrase doesnt work now that I think about it but forget about it let me just do the segway.

Yea theres a boa concert in two days. Cool stuff. I really like their music, at least what i’ve listened to. It can be really moody or visceral, but even so it always sounds almost like a journey in each track (not sure how to explain it past that rn). Its makes for a nice mood, even when its trying to be all visceral like in twighlight.
Ill be honest, they arent a band I listen to that many tracks from, its really just twighlight, elephant and (of course) duvet, but theyre such a cool band from the outset that even though im not crazy about them, im excited to go. Besides, itd suck if something I was DYING to go to was my FIRST ever concert , id be a WRECK. Might as well get it out of the way now right :D?
And my god are twighlight and duvet good. Like look, elephant is a very specific mood for me but twighlight and duvet hit the spot EVERY TIME. I could lose myself in either of them for hours.
O right, I gave butter chicken a 2nd shot today, and holy hell I made it SO MUCH BETTER.


I added half as less chicken (500 instead of A KILO (the recipe calls for 400 grams)), The viscocity was PERFECT (I added too little butter at the end last time), I got the right amount of heavy cream too, but what changed it the most was the SEASONING.
I got chili powder to actually make the recipe as it was intended, and let me be the first to say I had NO IDEA what I was missing out on, HOLY SHIT.
It went in both the chicken while it sat in the fridge (which btw smelled DISGUSTINGLY delicious before id even cooked it) and the sauce, so you can imagine not having it for the first time around made a crazy flavor difference. Also used joshua weismann’s chicken marinade last time, which was pretty silly given he had a different recipe entirely (I WAS WORKING WITH WHAT I HAD OKAY?).
Honestly? Honestly. the best food i’ve ever made, by taste at least. 100 and 1 out of 10.

Id mention the milkshake too but, it was hardly an accomplishment compared to the butter chicken, as in it was disgustingly easy. You just need to have the ingredients:
milkshake,
milk,
ice cream,
a syrup (like chocolate or caramel),
and whatever cookie you felt like adding in.
Id add bars of chocolate, but when I made it I didnt have any.
Anywho I got some small cookies my friend recommended, and tried to replicate a kinder milkshake id buy from home (without the kinder of course since its boycotted to the ends of the earth and back), and id say it turned out pretty well :). Forgot to take pictures, but what matters most for THIS is the advice.
If your Anything like me and wanna make your milkshakes really thick, add A FUCK TON of everything but the milk, only add like half a cup, and gradually go up from there depending on how much less solid you want it to be. Also, break apart stuff before you throw it in the mixer, its really annoying when stuff gets stuck in there and the mixer decided its time to do fuck all, dont make that mistake and at least break stuff like cookies up into fourths. I find that to be a nice place to stop, keeps some cookie chunks in the drink too (which I DIE for<3).
And lastly, make sure to use the first level of your mixer, not the second. Personal preference tho o-o.
Damn almost forgot the beef stir fry too. Youll have to forgive me if I got the name wrong (just consider it my own basic ass recipe since its the base ingredients from most of the asian beef on rice videos ive been watching) Basically its just beef with some dark soy sauce and oyster sauce (and in my case seasoned with black pepper) , cook that, then add some veggies (usually peas) and cook them with it too. Then just add to cooked rice, genuinely the easiest meal ever and it lasts you days, its the most lazy and rewarding meal and I fucking love it for that, so im totally making it all the time from now on.
As you can tell, ive been having a lot of fun with these meals, BUUUUUUUUUT I also did something else really cool with food aside from a specific recipes :D(and its gonna sound really silly but HEAR ME OUT and DONT JUDGE).
Ive been eating a lot more vegetables.
Yea.
LOOK, I know how silly that sounds, but see it from my perspective. I BARELY buy veggies, they rot and mold in DAYS and even if I have stuff I want to add it to, usually the portions to buy them are excessive, so I buy more than I need and IT AGAIN, MOLDS.
For that reason I havent been buying veggies, and not even that many fruits for the same reason (though if im being a bit more honest ive always been kind of bad with fruits and vegetables like this), but ive fixed things up over the past two weeks in an attempt to develop a healthier habits (AS IN making it easy to eat healthy). Two main changes, and also technically a third but its more of a bonus for the second change.
First off, ive been buying as much of my fruits as possible canned, its SO much more convenient. No worrying about expiry, and theyre picked at peak ripeness, so all I got to do is pop a can open and enjoy a nice portions worth, its great.
Second, to help with adding vegetables into my diet, I started buying 3kg worth of frozen vegetables per week, 2 kg of country mix veggies and a bag of cut carrots and peas (some for the stiry fry and some for whenever), now all I ever have to do is pop 300 to 400 grams worth of veggies, depending on how many more I feel like I might have in the day, in the air fryer, and BOOM. Easy Daily Veggie Life.
I even have the seasoning for the veggies in a packet ready made. Remember the fried chicken I made? the recipe called for some early seasoning, but I used too little of it and stored it in a bag. It consists of msg, salt and some brown sugar, and it adds SO MUCH SAVOURINESS to the veggies every time, I fucking LOVE IT.
And yea, as well as it being my main go to when im back from home instead of cookies or chips or chocolate (yea thats the third change, its sort of a replacement for my unhealthy snacks when it can be), ive already been seeing a lot of improvements for the shift.
As much as my stomach has been doing better since I got rid of the h-pylori, its actually been doing NUMBERS now that ive been hitting my vegetables right, my stomach acid is went from slightly annoying but better than it used to be to non-existent, im going to the bathroom with a lot less pain, I WISH I DID THIS SOONER, HOLY HELL, WHY THE HELL HAVE I NOT BEEN EATING LIKE THIS BEFORE?
Its awesome. All this, and I still have air fried fish n chips for when im feeling SUPER lazy, safe to say theres basically no reason to be eating out anymore. I see sweet sweet savings in my future >:).
So, yea, two (three) cool heathly tips. Anyways HOLY HELL HOW ARE WE AT 1829 WORDS??????? DAMN.
