I hate converters, why couldnt they just keep the headphone jack on the phone?

I bought one from apple, it was too weak and didnt output enough volume, good quality though. Then I bought one from kirkgate market, I noticed a hissing noise when I got home and walked back to refund it. In my infinite wisdom, I didnt take the box since he opened it there for me, and he didnt give me the refund. You could argue he should give the refund anyways, but I had the same thing happen with the apple dac so I shouldve seen this coming. Got it replaced for another converter that STILL HISSES but less.

Moral of the story? KEEP THE RECEIPT, KEEP THE BOX. DO YOUR RESEARCH. I dont know why I didnt just order a converter when I was home, that wouldve been 100000000000x better in every conceivable way. Also I pray to god that whatever phone I buy after the note10+ breaks, has a headphone jack. It probably won’t, but I hope it does.

That was fun to get off my chest, lets talk about some actually cool stuff now. I got poweramp, its a really nice offline music player that has every feature id ever need in the history of ever. Alternatively, there’s also neutron, but it looks so much worse in comparison even if it does have awesome features and is the only app capable of pushing the volume up past the egregiously low limit the apple dac puts on the phone. Thats PROBABLY at the expense of the quality though, I couldnt really tell tbh but it doesnt matter, im sticking to poweramp. Its awesome :).

First week of foundation year also wrapped up, barely anything important happened. Just introducing us to the place, some services and such. The two notable exceptions though would definitely be the NHS sign up we did, and the access to a GP we’ll get soon because of it, and the culture fair. It’s in two weeks and the theme the class has is food, and im in charge of content along with the rest of the content team. Ive given the class the main structure of our stand so far, that being we get a dish from every country, one of each corresponding to a meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and a seperate booth for snacks from the remaining countries, and the rest of the team fleshed out the idea from there. Now we’re looking into dishes, and although ive already decided where and which dish to get for lebanon, I cant for the life of me figure out what libyan breakfast to bring. My choice right now is libyan shakshouka, since I could probably make it myself with enough practice since ive made shakshouka before and its more feasible than other options, but theres basically no way im gonna order it like I would for lebanese food, cant find any libyan restaurants anywhere.

Also for lebanon, im gonna get manakish from lebanese bites, a restaruant nearby. Ill visit it and see if it’s actually good enough to bring for the fair, but from what ive seen I have faith itll be good.

Ok but since we’re already talking about food though, the nandos here IS AMAZING. Im so biased but I FUCKING LOVE nandos. Its so good, literally everything id ever want from a reastaraunt, easily my #1. Came across one this week a couple of days ago with my dad and got some boneless chicken and rice and had the time of my life, ill genuinely never get sick of their food. The chicken is so juicy, the sauces are so flavorful, you got a light lemon flavor for when you want something casual and that JUST RIGHT level of spice on extreme that gets every sense working, my third eye opening, opens every chakra in my body, every pressure point being pushed LITERALLY ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING. EEEEEEEEEEEEEVVERRYTHIIIIIIIIIIIIIING.ITS SO FUCKING GOOD I WANT SOME RIGHT NOW.

Also tried wingstop, it was pretty good. Liked the flavors, of course it wasnt on the same level as THE chicken place, nandos, but for fried chicken it would be the go to right now yea.

O yea, did I mention im living alone now? My dad left on the 29th, so ive been on my own for a couple of days. Its quite nice, I have full liberty over everything now, of course that means a hell of a lot of chores but I really dont mind it. My main concern right now is buying some halal chicken and meat to cook with, which speaking of a should probably go do. That and some groceries. Ill go take care of that, see you some other time. Bye :).
