SUNDAY POST. I had a movie yesterday and stayed up since it was already late, and there was no way in hell I was writing up the post without a wink of sleep, MOVING ON.

More chess, very fun. Just hit exactly 700 Elo, and got my first brilliant move. Very happy to see. For the record, if you ever get a free trial on chess.com just go and cancel it, they’ll give you an extra 7 days on the free trial for free to convince you to keep it. Nice stuff.

I beat Cuphead WAY too fast, seeing as how it was on normal difficulty I cant wait to get steamrolled on the harder difficulties, but in truth it probably wont be that bad. Besides, I beat the the main game on standard difficulty in 6 hours. How hard could S ranking the game on expert even be?

Tried reading sheet music, it was abysmal. I couldn’t get past the first few notes, so ill need to make a plan on how to get back to this point, since I’m clearly not ready yet. Or keep throwing my head against the brick wall that is my unending laziness because I cant get myself for the life of me to sit down and play the keyboard sometimes. It’ll pass though.

The new Deadpool movie was neat, the inappropriate jokes while watching with family always mean there’s always something going, even if said thing is trying to ignore the fact that Deadpool is making anal jokes while I watch with my sister and father. Otherwise, great movie. Solid 8. The magician they meet mid movie and his abilities go unnecessarily hard and I loved that to death.

We celebrated my birthday on Friday the day of as well, went to buffalo wings and rings since its a restaurant my dad used to take us to all the time when we were in Jeddah and had recently opened in the boulevard, and it was delicious but also really REALLY taxing on my stomach for the rest of the day for whatever reason. Afterwards we went around the boulevard and ended up visiting the sim racing and an ongoing MENA Valorant tournament match between the two last teams in the final game, R8 vs Falcon. The sim racing was really fun, but more than that I ACTUALLY KNOW HOW TO PLAY DRIVING GAMES NOW. I didn’t know how to change gears at all, so when I got stuck and I got it reversed by someone who worked there, every brain cell in my body finally activated in unison and I realized what the fuck the gears were actually for and when to slow down and start up, WHY DID IT TAKE THIS LONG TO REALIZE I WAS SUPPOSED TO GO DOWN IN GEARS AT TURNS? Whatever, I never played enough to care, but now I really wanna play some more to be honest, it was really REALLY FUN after I KNEW WHAT I WAS DOING. Also bet everything on R8 winning after watching the first match of the game, they lost 2-3. It was a pretty good effort, shame they lost it at the end but I’m more than happy to have rooted for them. And it was honestly fun just trying to explain Valorant to my dad.

And on a close subject, my family kept asking me the whole day what I wanted for my birthday gift. I never gave them a proper response, so I just got cash to do what I like, which is fair. I’d love to tell them, I just don’t have it in me to tell them that what i’ve been eyeing for the longest time is Omori merch, because its embarrassing and even if it wasn’t, the price for the art book sure as hell is :D. Not even necessarily that its 70 dollars, but that it goes up over 112 after shipping too, WHYYYYYYYYYY, AS IF IT WASNT ENOUGH?!?!? So yea, that isn’t happening, even though I could save up for it IM NOT SURE I SHOULD. Aside from that, I’d like to get a physical score for a game and learn to play it on the keyboard, the 3 games in question on fangamer being Undertale, Deltarune, or Hollowknight. Respectfully though, I would’ve trashed all these games as possible options and bought omori’s score the moment I found it if only IT EXISTED. Either way, I wont actually be able to read them for A WHILE, at least not well, so it’s a long term investment and would mean I’d have to really commit myself to playing the keyboard for things to pan out. Cool to have, but ill have to give it more thought. That and a metronome would mean I’m going all in on learning to play, and I just don’t have a proper enough path in terms of learning to play to dive head first like this. After all, I’m still kinda just winging it, playing what I like. I’ve read up on HOW to read sheet music, but not nearly enough it seems. So what’s the game plan? Go all in? Make a plan first? What would it even look like if I did? Where would I start, how would I progress towards being able to read and play sheet music? I’ll have to think it through after the post. For now, that’s what’s dancing around in my mind.

I’m gonna be honest, I’ve been quite afraid of mentioning music on posts like these. Knowing that people can see these, and how fast I ditch certain music, I was trying to mention it offhandedly or just really vaguely, which is basically what I did with femtanyl in some earlier posts when I first found her music. Some good music there like “DINNER!” and “LOVESICK CANNIBAL!” but some others that im not as big a fan of, like “PICK ME UP!”, just not that big a fan. That, and with how weird I feel my taste in music right now must come off to whoever is reading, I wasn’t willing to delve that far into things. But also THATS SUCH A STUPID FUCKING REASON, Ima just talk about it :D.

This week, I’ve been addicted to Metaroom. Specifically, “dog bus” and the menu64 remix. I cant tell you why, they just grab the part of my brain that enjoys music, rips it open and stuffs a shit ton of psychedelics in there, it’s awesome. Not that I even know what it’s like to use psychedelics, this is just my fun interpretation of how it’s probably like. Funnily enough, the person who made PK Rave, telemist, also made dog bus with Metaroom, which I only realized later. Cool coincidences. Machine girl is also a pretty well known one and “ZONED” has also been playing nonstop the past few days, but you know one I could’ve never expected? FUCKING JET SET RADIO FUTURE, WHAT? I got “the concept of love” on my autoplay and I downplayed it BUT ITS GOOD? TOO GOOD? Then I got “teknopathetic” like a day later, now I just want more jet set radio, or whatever the hell Hideki Naganuma is cooking up, this shit is fantastic. One last thing, sonic music fucks too hard for it’s own good. It doesn’t even matter the kind, Orchestral, classic sonic songs, THEYRE ALL AMAZING.
