So, nearly 7 weeks. I’d love to start this and say it felt like it passed by quick. It didn’t. I just kept missing the chance to post for one reason or another :p.

As for the specifics, its messy. The first 2 weeks were reasonable, I finished both AP exams and was way more tired than I thought I’d be, and I didn’t account for finals. So I studied the day off and before like a maniac, god knows what scores I got. I don’t know, don’t wanna know. School life is officially over.
as for the next 3-4 weeks, I’ll be honest and just say I missed them. I remembered afterward but didn’t have it in me to do them. Then a friend from Jeddah came over, and now were here.

Let me get back to school though. I can’t describe how nice it is knowing I don’t have to go again. The last day was particularly emotional for the school I was going to, all of my classmates saying their goodbyes and enjoying their time, and then sending a shit ton of nostalgic messages like “That was our last football in school together :((((((” with pictures included after wed all gotten home. I’m happy for everyone involved, now that they’ve finished their lives, and it’s nice to reflect.

The days leading up to it were also nice. Everyone got shirts to get signed, but my dumbass wore a white shirt and forgot they would wanna sign it. IT WAS A REALLY NICE ONE TOO IT WAS SO COMFORTABLE. I remember just thinking before I wore it “This’d look nice with these pants” not knowing I WAS NEVER GONNA WEAR IT EVER AGAIN. GODDAMIT.

We went to an istiraha afterwards too, and basically spent the whole day with each other on the last day. Prayed together, ate together, swam together. Good time. The chicken at al tazaj was great, but I shouldn’t have eaten it so early in the morning. It killed me for the rest of the day. Plus, the box I got was called “gamer box”. I don’t even know why the hell I thought it was a good idea to get the gamer box of all things, cuz the name is dumb and the sandwich is fried to oblivion, but here we are :D.
The graduation party was great too. I got to talk to a lot of fun people which was nice, especially after exams, but I was drained by the time we ate. The afterparty had dancers and everybody tried dancing with them, me included. I’m sure I looked like a fish out of water trying to dance, but it was really fun regardless. I’d do it again.

Then there’s said friend who’s showed up for the next couple of weeks, that’s been great for a lot of different reasons. Getting to see him again at this point in the vacation was a nice breather since I have an old friend to try new places with. And we binged A LOT of Breaking Bad since he came over. Just got to season 3 episode 3 today. The first few episodes were a bit of a slog for both of us, but otherwise, it’s been AMAZING. I also introduced him to Mr. Robot, which to my surprise he liked a lot. He let me know that I’d been downplaying how good it was after he watched the first episode, which if true is nice. That being said, if you haven’t seen the first episode GO TRY IT OUT. You won’t regret it.
One last notable point is a game I’ve gotten into recently. I’ve been looking for a fighting game that has an appealing art style to me for a while, and I found it in Sonic the Fighters. REALLY old game (released in 1996 with arcades) but god is it fun. And honestly, even if it wasn’t, the aesthetic of the game carries it so hard and I love it to bits for that alone. The way they implemented squash and stretch to the character animations is gorgeous, slightly jank but lovely nonetheless. I’m personally trying to get good with Amy, but I can’t for the life of me even pull off her one special move that makes her so good in the first place. We’ll get there soon though.

That’s all for now, I totally forgot to talk about the AP tests but I’ll just leave it for when the scores are out. Not like they matter anyway. AP comp sci principles doesn’t give me credit for AUB’s comp sci, and if I don’t get it from AP calc I’ll just do another test and have at it again. regardless though, taking both helped me get better at them, and I’m still thankful I took them. Next time though, I’ll manage my time a bit better.

Have a good rest of your week now, bye 🙂
