Hey. I know I missed the post by a few hours, but I was out of the house. Didn’t really have a choice, so ill still make this :p.

Good week, finished up the comp sci principle performance task. didn’t actually fill out the video, pdf and questions yet but will do it sometime soon. Even though the program DOES fit the criteria of the task, it feels like I could’ve done more. It only took 2 days of light work, and the scale of the program doesn’t feel like it reaches other students programs. The online instructors do advise I make the performance task simple, but I think mine may be TOO simple. It simply takes a students inputted scores and higher them according to if they were ever late for a class that semester. If they weren’t, they get a higher outputted mark than if they were, but regardless all marks(the amount of scores inputted can be chosen btw) that are submitted will be higher than the original. That’s it. THATS IT. YES IT FITS THE CRITERIA OF THE TASK(aka sequencing, selection, iteration, different paths and code ran per call, etc.) BUT REALLY, IS THAT ALL I HAVE TO DO???????? I honestly don’t know. I’ll ask my computer teachers next week once the vacation is over but even then, I’m not expecting much from them. Don’t get me wrong they aren’t the worst teachers by far, but the school stated prior to me signing up for this that there aren’t any teachers on board with official experience on the subject. One knows how to teach java and visual basic, and knows most concepts, and the other only knows a lot about current trends in computer science(like artificial intelligence). No real experience in the field, but good advice. I’ll ask both and see what I get. Until then, ill keep this as a plan B. if I have no other projects ready by the deadline to submit, ill send this one through. till then, ill think about it.

I’ve been playing Omori this week too. That’s been really fun. I think I already went over this last time, not pirating it, taking time enjoying the game and all, BUT I did finish the good ending 2 days ago. It didn’t disappoint. That and all the little details I get to enjoy, it really is quite a nice ride. My favorite is kel’s portrayal in Headspace. Basil represents everyone with a different flower, and throughout the game in headspace you have to water all of them to get the good ending’s last cutscene. What gets me about it is they made kel a cactus, you never once have to water him. The nice thing about it is that it totally fits with his real life counterpart, he was the only person in the group who really managed to pick his life back up after the major event of the game, and he’s always there for sunny, so even in that aspect he’s closer to sunny than anyone else is during the start of the game. A really positive force who DONT GET ME WRONG does make mistakes during the course of the game but manages to hold his own as a beacon of light amidst all the insanity the story has to offer, its really endearing and I love that little detail about him and how they express it in such a fun way.

Also love how once you get to sweetheart’s castle they have no problem casually slipping in the MOST OUT OF LEFT FIELD WORDS. Like the game is so casual in it’s dialogue but then suddenly your dropping GREGARIOUS and PULCHRITUDINOUS. WHAT. I can understand gregarious BUT HOW THE HELL DO YOU DROP PULCHRITUDINOUS WHEN DESCRIBING SWEETHEART. TWICE XD. I fucking love this game it’s amazing.

Playing the keyboard has been fun too. Nothing serious, my only real goal is to play the title song of the game and the final duet version some time in the very distant future, I’m not actually following a strict procedure to get better or worrying too much about it, just playing a couple of minutes a day. It’s fun. On the first day of it, when id first realized it was actually do able, that I could actually play the title song if I practiced, I got a bit emotional. Couldn’t really tell you why but I feel quite vulnerable playing on the keyboard or drawing, but at the same time it feels quite cathartic doing them anyways. Not the best feeling in the world to feel so sensitive for no good reason, but what can you do about it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I’m sure I’ll know why at some point, but for now I’ll keep playing. I’ll keep learning.
