Disjointed

Just finished the last problem set for week 2 a few minutes ago, it was quite a ride. I’d finished half of it yesterday but couldn’t wrap my mind around the rest of it, so left it for today. Then I got to it, and had to spend a good half hour rattling my brain to get to the solution. Once I did though, it took another half hour just to get rid of all the errors, but it actually worked immediately after the fact(which was a goddamn miracle).

In between I went for isha prayer and taraweeh at the local masjid, and got myself a drink from a local shop. It was a kinder milkshake. Now I know to boycott based off the fact that companies like Oreo and kinder most certainly support Israel, and id rather not fund them in any way, but I honestly had no clue there’d actually be chunks of kinder in it. Thought it was just for namesake. Should’ve known better though, wont happen again.

NOW as for the week as a whole, it’s been alright. Again happened to not be able to get a good nights sleep specifically on Monday and no other day for the second week in a row, not sure why but sure :p. The aforementioned problem set was fun to solve, especially readability. Since the school schedule is changed, ill get the chance to work on my code on most periods on Mondays and Wednesdays, since they’ll be teaching AP and ACT classes then and the only class I attend at the current moment being AP calculus. Aside from that though, quizzes have started this week, which is a shame considering it’s only the second week. This week we had math and chemistry. The math quiz was AMAZING, ABSOLUTELY FLEW THROUGH THE QUESTIONS(there were only 3). All things considered, the studying paid off :). Cant say the same for chemistry though. Definitely didn’t fail but could’ve done way better too. Still not sure what the end result will be though, we’ll have to wait and see.

Something I’m definitely not excited for though is the physics quiz tomorrow. The teacher hasn’t taught us for more than two periods yet we’re expected to take a quiz on the syllabus’s lessons tomorrow. Hopefully wont be too hard since there are only 7 slides for the quiz given to us by the other ACTUALLY GOOD physics teacher WHO DOES HIS JOB WAY BETTER(but teaches the other class), but it would’ve been nice to actually be taught the info in between the god awfully boring classes our physics teacher has, in which he does nothing, pesters everyone about using their phones, rants about unrelated crap, and then goes on his phone himself for the rest of the period, only ever asking us questions about the related lessons in a single period, expecting us to know the answers and not actually introducing anything new.

As for drawing, I haven’t drawn all week. I’d rather not make it mandatory that I do draw everyday, but things got a bit hectic getting used to Ramadan timings and the various tests and problem sets that I never got around to drawing in the off time. Will probably draw something soon though.

Started playing bomb rush cyberpunk recently, and that’s been really fun. feels like the kinda game ill remember fondly, and I cant wait to install mods too.

Going on walks has been really great too. I have an area I like to sit at from time to time, where cars will pass by every once and a while, and a few lights don’t work. Nice atmosphere, hate to see all the garbage lying around though. Still a fun time nonetheless, nothing beats coming home when everyone’s asleep, it’s dead quite and you have the house to yourself, just soaking in the mood and playing whatever song to fit. Feels great, wish I got to do it more often but there’s a reason everyone is asleep by 3 am, so I’ll have to figure out what to do about that. I’ve just slept at 10-11pm on weekdays(excluding Monday this week) and not waken up for suhoor, but I could mess with the schedule and find a way to throw in late night walks. I’ll experiment and see how it goes.

That’s all for now though, see you next week :).
